We bring you one of the exhaustive virtual resources wherein you will get rice related information.  You may like to know various rice websites/portals that will act as a ready reckoner for rice related information/ knowledge needs.
We hope that this effort will help millions of rice workers across the nation in effectively accessing rice knowledge.

AGROPEDIA IITK

  • User interface portal providing knowledge models for Rice, wheat, Chickpea, Litchi, pigeonpea, groundnut, sorghum, sugarcane and vegetable pea.
  • It facilitates the user to contribute either as blog, agroforum issues, agropedia and library posts.
  • The Rice knowledge model provided on the portal is too clumsy much to the disgust of general netizen to spend time on the portal.

Paddy - Global, National (India) and Local Practices (Tamil Nadu)

International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), is facilitating an interactive internet-based knowledge management portal called "Advancing Agricultural Practice". This portal aims to facilitate knowledge and experience-sharing among the various agri-stakeholders including men and women farmers, extension agents, agricultural scientists, agro-industries, agri-financing institutions, policy makers and planners in Indian agriculture.

DRR Farmers Day

DRR has organised Farmers day on 20th October , 2013. About 800 farmers have attended the meeting. Stalls were arranged by different public and private organisations like Directorate of Sorghum Research, Bayer Crop Sciences, Project Directorate of Poultry etc. The Guests of honour were Dr.Sharma Nayar, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Dr. B. Venkateswarulu, Director, CRIDA, Dr.A.Padmaraju,Vice-Chancellor, ANGRAU.
